Mark Reiter Inducted in GLTA Hall of Fame

During the banquet of the GLTA Champions Race in London (UK) last February, the GLTA Executive Board chose to induct MTG New York club member, Mark Reiter into the GLTA Hall of Fame.

Mark acted as GLTA Commissioner between 2001 and 2007.

Mark joined the GLTA Board as Sponsor Chair in 2000. At that time things were a little rough for the GLTA. Mark however took responsibility and stepped up to become Commissioner. During his period as commissioner, Mark showed great leadership in guiding the GLTA through many storms. During his term he helped launch several GLTA programs including the GLTA free entry voucher and the GLTA Champions Race which Mark worked very hard on, and to date they continue to be very successful. In addition to the creation of these new programs, his main challenges and responsibilities included maintaining existing programs, managing the GLTA board team and being a good communicator and spokes person for the GLTA.

An important goal that Mark had was to create a GLTA where all players from around the world not only play their favorite sport, but also find a social environment to meet old and new friends. And it looks like the re-instatement and maintenance of that social component in the GLTA has been accomplished.

Mark continues as GLTA' Communication Director and in his new role he will be responsible for the internal and external communication in the GLTA.

On behalf of the GLTA Executive Board I thank him for his continuous work, friendship and support of the GLTA. I am very proud to have inducted one of GLTA's greatest personalities into the GLTA Hall of Fame.
