The GLTA Executive Board of Directors has listened to your concerns regarding "sandbagging", and  effective January 1, 2012 , the points awarded (not retroactive) for winning the later rounds of a tournament will change as follows:

Semi-Finalists will be awarded x 3 the normal per round points. 

Finalists will be awarded x 4 the normal per round points.   We will continue to award the later round points based on the size of the draws.   The grid and formula we previously used will remain the same when awarding points.   Also, the GLTA Board will work closely with our Directors to evaluate new players to the GLTA, and ensure that they have entered the correct division.
